We help process flight cancellations and guide you through refund options
Sometimes your travel plans need to change. Whether a personal situation has changed or your trip is no longer possible, we can help you cancel your flight and navigate the refund process. Our team handles the cancellation request with the airline and explains your refund eligibility based on your ticket type and the applicable airline policies.
We submit cancellation requests directly to the airline on your behalf. No need to navigate complex airline systems yourself.
We explain your refund options based on whether your ticket is refundable or non-refundable and applicable airline policies.
We inform you about the 24-hour cancellation window that allows free cancellation for most U.S. airline tickets.
You'll receive cancellation confirmation and detailed information about any refunds or credits issued.
In the United States, the Department of Transportation requires airlines to allow free cancellation of airline tickets within 24 hours of purchase for all tickets purchased at least 7 days before departure. This rule applies to most domestic and international flights booked by U.S. carriers.
What this means: If you booked your flight less than 7 days ago, you typically have 24 hours from the time of purchase to cancel without penalty and receive a full refund.
Important notes:
Refundable tickets: These tickets can typically be cancelled for a full refund of the airfare. Any airline change fees don't apply, and you receive back what you paid for the ticket. Refundable tickets are more expensive but offer flexibility.
Non-refundable tickets: These tickets cannot be cancelled for a refund. If you cancel a non-refundable ticket, you lose the ticket price. However, some airlines may offer a credit toward future travel, though this varies by airline and is subject to their specific policies.
Partially refundable tickets: Some tickets have a hybrid structure where portion of the fare is refundable under certain conditions (such as if the airline cancels or significantly changes the flight). Airlines determine these conditions.
Call us at (888) 859-7280 and let us know you need to cancel. Have your booking reference number and confirmation details ready.
We review your ticket type, purchase date, and the airline's cancellation policy to explain your refund eligibility and what to expect.
We submit the official cancellation request to the airline on your behalf. For refundable tickets, we initiate the refund process.
You receive cancellation confirmation from the airline. If refundable, we provide information about refund timelines and how to track your refund status.
After your cancellation is processed:
Important: Our agency service fee is non-refundable. When you cancel a flight we booked for you, the airline refund applies to the ticket price only. Our service fee, which covers the booking and coordination services we provided, is not refundable.
For example:
Non-refundable fares: If you purchased a non-refundable ticket outside the 24-hour window, cancellation typically results in loss of the entire ticket price. Some airlines may offer a credit toward future travel, but these policies vary.
Airline credits: Some airlines automatically issue a credit that can be used toward a future booking instead of a cash refund. Credit terms and expiration dates vary by airline.
Timing: Cancellations requested after your flight has already departed cannot be processed. Cancellation must occur before departure.
Group bookings: Group fares and specially negotiated rates have unique cancellation terms that may differ from standard ticket policies.
International flights: International cancellations may be subject to different rules depending on the airline, route, and applicable regulations.
After departure: Once your flight has departed, cancellation is not possible. If you missed your flight, contact us immediately to discuss options.
No-show flights: If you were booked on a flight but didn't show up, different policies apply. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Codeshare flights: Flights operated by one airline but booked under another airline's code may have different cancellation policies. We'll clarify this when processing your request.
